Obtaining a mat for the floor of the crate is so that you can give your puppy a comfortable place to lye down on, instead of the uncomfortable bottom. You want something that is easy to clean, but not something that your puppy can chew apart.

The odor neutralizer is used to clean up the floor in case your puppy has an accident. You are able to adequately clean the scene of the crime from your puppy with this. It will discard the scent from the puppies bowel movement so it will not be baited back to the scene of the crime.
