We often see our beloved Hollywood stars and socialites use a dog purse carrier to carry around their pooch with style. Most of us cannot afford to put down the thousands of dollars necessary for a fancy designer dog purse carrier. That does not mean we cannot carry our dog in style. Before you buy a dog purse carrier think about what features you will really need.

Will you use it for running errands or for long trips in the car? Are their colors and styles in your wardrobe that you need to match? The prices range from around $30 to several thousand. They can be found in many materials and styles incuding crocodile, genuine leather, and hot pink.

Dog purse carriers are built to handle a dog of a particular shape and size. It is not a good idea to try and stuff a dog into a carrier which is too small. Your dog needs adequate space and plenty of breathing vents. At least three sizes of the carrier should include air vents. One thing to look at carefully when selecting a dog purse carrier is whether it is strong enough to make your dog feel secure.

Take some time to feel around inside the carrier to ensure that it is soft and does not have any plastic or hardware sticking out which can injure your dog.
